When Modi Government had introduced GST and announced Demonetization, they had claimed that it is a Master Stroke and will result in boosting Indian Economy.
It seems that Government doesn't have confidence in their own plan, 2018 Budget is kind of witness for same.
If GST is there to improve tax collection and ease of business, and demonetization helped the government to curb most of the black money, then why the government didn't offer any relief for the Middle class in their recent budget?
Budget 2018 didn't offer anything to the Middle class, the same Middle class which had suffered most during Demonetization an also faced a lot of trouble due to the introduction of GST. Many of them thought that standing in queue because of the mistake commited by government is some kind of National Duty, they didn't complain, they didn't cry, and some of them literally died whie standing in-line in front of banks.
GST proved bad news f0r Middle Class Buisnesmen and small shope owners , many of them them ran out of business. Many people lost job due to it, instead of creating employment it resulted into people loosing their current job. This was the same middle class who were always their defending every move, every action of the Modi government.
Now whom you will blame that they feel cheated by the same government whom they had supported blindly?
In recent budget government doesn't offer any changes in current tax slab for middle class people, what it means?
1) Government is going to take the same cut of amount from the salery of common man which they were taking last year on the name of INCOME TAX.
2) Rates of Petrol and Diesel increased tremendously in last 2-3 year.
3) Cost of living increased in all the urban areas.
4) price of goods and commoditiy are still increasing.
5) Remember the fact that keeping money in bank and using services of bank also become very costly since the demonetization move of the government.
Relief in tax slab would have helped the middle class people in saving some money to meet most of the needs.
